There is this prompt that does the rounds that tells you to blog using the alphabet as your guide. Each letter becomes a blog. I decided that as a challenge, this would be good to get me blogging every day.
F = fear
So I am not that good at blogging over weekends! Get ready for me to catch up! š
Fear – we all face it in varying degrees every day. I have lots at the moment that leaves me with this ball in my belly. Then everything gets all muddled up.
Besides the wedding coming up and all the stuff around that, and trust me there is a ton of stuff!, our public transport system is being overhauled. What this means is that I no longer am able to do my usual routine and now I have to go to different stations and use other methods of transport.
I am comfortable with the route I take normally. I am getting to see the same faces and there is safety in that routine. Now I have to take a different tram and go to a big station and figure it all out. We’ll ignore the fact that my commute just got longer.
My fear is the unknown, or taking the wrong train / tram and thereby extending my journey. It is around the faces I do not know and areas I am not feeling safe in. The fact that I am female is immaterial, I just don’t know the area and it is an uneasy feeling.
I will face the fear today and the rest of this week. Big, brave me is actually just whimpering nervous me putting on a face! There is a bit of honesty for you.
It’s Monday. Time to try something new.
